The Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area has been placed under a snowfall warning by Environment Canada.

The weather office says a long period of snowfall is expected to begin Monday, with around 10-20 cm expected to fall by Tuesday evening.

“Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.”

A warning has also been issued for the Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning forecast area, as well as Whitecourt-Edson-Fox Creek-Swan Lake and Hinton-Grande Cache.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
