Fire disrupting train traffic in and out of Grande Prairie

CN Rail says a bridge fire is impacting all train traffic in and out of Grande Prairie.

The railway says in an email to EverythingGP that the disruption could last for a week or more.

CN adds the fire happened early Wednesday morning near Latornell, southeast of Grande Prairie, and has affected the line between Grande Prairie and Swan Landing near Hinton.

CN says that its crews, quote, “are working safely and diligently to assess damages and prepare for repairs that will be required.”
