Feb 15, 2018 | 6:22 AM

The Grande Prairie Storm bounced back at home Wednesday night with a 5-2 victory over the Bonnyville Pontiacs.

Grande Prairie got out to a great start in the opening frame as they found the back of the net twice in the opening three minutes thanks to Dallas Comeau and Zachary Okabe.

Jared Power scored in the middle stanza for the Storm to earn his 5th goal since joining Grande Prairie, and Justin Bernier would net a pair in the third to lead the Storm to victory.

Charles-Olivier Levesque was solid in between the pipes for the Storm stopping 23 of 25 in the win.

With the win, Grande Prairie improves to 24-25-3 on the year.

This improves their point total to 51, five points ahead of both the Sherwood Park Crusaders and the Lloydminster Bobcats for 4th in the AJHL North Division.

Grande Prairie will be back on the ice Friday when they host the Brooks Bandits.

Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
