Feb 15, 2018 | 9:53 AM

The Municipal Affairs Minister stopped in Beaverlodge Wednesday ahead of his visit in Grande Prairie today (Thursday).

Shaye Anderson says he is hearing concerns about changes to the linear property assessment.

“That was not a decision that was easy to make, to freeze it and have a look at it, but it’s something we promised to do so myself and the energy minister we are having a look at it and we are going to do a review, we are going to get it done this year.”

He also touched on the Beaverlodge Hospital and says he will voice his support for a new facility.

“My ability is to make sure I can add another voice to it and say ya, I’ve been there, I see it and I understand why they are looking for it and why they need it.”

The minister is also meeting with community groups, elected officials and business owners in Grande Prairie.
