Higson and Wheat Kings eliminated in WHL playoffs

The WHL playoffs came to an end Friday night for Grande Prairie's Schael Higson and the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Logan Flodell stopped 32 shots as the Lethbridge Hurricanes beat the Wheat Kings 3-0 in Game 5 of their second-round series.

The win gave the Hurricanes a 4 games to 1 series win, advancing them to the WHL Eastern conference final.

The 19 year old Higson, who was the Wheat Kings' top defenceman during the regular season, had 4 assists and 27 penalty minutes in 11 playoff games.
