Another super-fun and inspiring evening at MoMondays Winnipeg! This crowd loves to get involved, since it’s true that you meet the nicest people at MoMondays I’ve got to give people a chance to connect with each other, don’t I?

To that end we always have an interactive portion of the evening and this event was no exception. The place got so loud, the microphone was useless, I actually had to stand up on a chair to get people’s attention! Too much fun!

Here is the compilation video…

Following you will find a few highlights and the speaker’s bios and contact information.

Dan Deurbrouck – Entertainer, started off the evening with a cool rendition of Over the Rainbow, then had the whole crowd la-la-la’ing to A Horse with No Name and did a special request of The Cat Came Back – just for fun!

Dan began playing on stage at the age of 13. From 1985 –2005 Dan operated Uncle Dan’s Kids’ World where he sang and recorded his own songs, juggled and rode a unicycle, and performed at International Children’s Festivals, the Winnipeg Folk Festival, schools, fairs and private functions. Dan embraces the challenge of learning new things but his love and passion for music will never die!

Hadass Eviatar spoke about Learning to Love Your Lizard Brain. She had the most memorable quote of the night, “When in doubt, have a baby.”

Hadass was born in Israel, raised partly in the United States, and educated in the Netherlands. She has lived in Winnipeg since 1994. She has a doctorate in physics from the University of Utrecht and a B.Ed. from the University of Winnipeg, but has received a much more extensive education by being on the Internet since 1988. She is currently a writer, educator and entrepreneur. http://hadasseviatar.com

Ingrid Reid The Girl in The Orange Jacket – self-diagnosed herself as a Certified Emotional Eater, I can relate!

Ingrid is an expert in herself since she took ownership of her health and started making healthier choices. Her choices may not be the healthiest but definitely healthier.
She is still on a roller coaster of ride with maintaining her weight loss goals but after completing four half marathons and having her sights set on her first full marathon she is definitely healthier than she has ever been. www.ingridreid.com

Theo Heineman – Purpose of Life is a Life of Purpose – taught us to ask ourselves two BIG questions, “What do I stand for?” and “How can I help more people?”

In 2006 Theo left Canada for a 12 month volunteer position with Mercy Ships as Assistant Safety Manager of Marine Operations. In 2009 she launched 1Life Workplace Safety & Health from scratch. Despite the challenges of a start-up,1Life has grown at a rapid pace. Through her experiences Theo discovered that a clear purpose will lead you to excellence in all you do. www.theoheineman.ca

Tim Hague Sr. – Perseverance: An amazing story of Strength and Courage. In an impromptu move, I brought his wife on stage – she gave up her dream for her family and is the unsung heroine of the story.

Winner of The Amazing Race Canada | Parkinson’s Activist Tim Hague Sr. overcame the odds when he went from a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease to—just three years later—becoming the inaugural winner of CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada. Tim’s message of strength and courage leaves audiences motivated to meet life’s challenges and do more than they ever thought they could. www.timsr.ca

Special thanks to Kayla Pottinger and Ervin Bartha for sharing their photo/video talent.
