A southern Alberta man wants his day in court after he was ticketed for flashing the high beams of his vehicle at a sheriff’s car.
Jeff McLenaghan is pleading not guilty after he was fined last November in High River, where he flicked his lights at an oncoming car because he thought the other vehicle had its high beams on.
It turns out the other driver was a sheriff who issued the ticket for failing to use low beams within a 300-metre range of another vehicle.
McLenaghan says he disagrees with the sheriff’s version of events and he wants a full hearing to set the record straight.
