An Edmonton-area man has filed a 17-million-dollar lawsuit against the owner of a trampoline park where he broke his neck a year ago.

Nineteen-year-old Landon Smith was paralyzed from the chest down after he did a front flip into a foam pit during a birthday party and hit the concrete floor.

Smith and his parents allege Jump Park Trampoline in Sherwood Park failed to ensure the premises were safe and fit for use.

The statement of claim also names the supplier of the foam pit, the installer, and several employees.
