Fiery semi crash on QE II Highway south of Edmonton

RCMP and Emergency Services are on scene at a single vehicle collision near Millet involving a semi-tractor trailer unit.
Police say the southbound semi caught fire after it went off the road and struck the support structure for the Highway 616 overpass at about 10:45 this morning.
The driver and lone occupant of the semi involved was transported to an Edmonton hospital via ground ambulance. Police say the extent of his injuries remain unknown.
Travel lanes on the QEII, both northbound and southbound, are reopened but the overpass at Highway 616 remains closed.
