“Women of Influence” keynote speaker announced

Councillor Eunice Friesen has been named keynote speaker at Grande Prairie’s inaugural “Women of Influence” Awards Reception and Luncheon in March.
“With her diverse accomplishments and experience in community involvement, Councillor Friesen is an outstanding example of a woman of influence in Grande Prairie, and we are so honoured to welcome her as keynote”, says Angela Sutherland, Community Social Development Manager.
Friesen says she is humbled. “It is such a privilege to be chosen for this event. I consider myself to be an ordinary individual, but because of the many transformative women in my life I’ve been empowered to make a difference in the lives of those around me and in the city of Grande Prairie.”
The three awards, Young Woman of Influence, Trailblazing Woman of Influence and Distinguished Woman of Influence, will be handed out at the event March 8th which is International Women’s Day.
