A new organization is raising money for Grande Prairie charities

Jan 21, 2018 | 7:33 AM

A group with chapters across Canada has started up in Grande Prairie.

The GP 100 is similar to 100 Plus Women Who Care Grande Prairie, where a group of individuals get together four times a year to donate $100 each to a charity.

Spokesperson Cole Murphy says any man can join.

“We have all sorts of background, whether it’s oilpatch, construction, we’ve got office staff, you know, accountants, it’s everybody. We are open to anybody and everybody that is willing to help out their community and better the place we live in.”

He says they plan on meeting in mid-March

“We go through our community and look at charities that are deserving, that might need a hand. Registered charities is what we are focusing on at this point. We are just basically looking to help out and spread the wealth in our community.”

You can find more information on their Facebook or web page.
