Energy Minister Margaret McCuaig-Boyd will be attending a major American energy conference in Houston next week to promote Alberta’s oil and gas industry.
McCuaig-Boyd will be attending CERAWeek from Monday through Wednesday to meet with potential investors from around the world to pitch opportunities in Alberta’s downstream sector.
She’ll also meet with the Texas secretary of state and federal energy ministers from Mexico and Norway, as well as take part in a panel session on the growth of energy development in Western Canada.
McCuaig-Boyd says in a statement that she will be discussing the actions Alberta is taking to boost production and attract new investment while reducing carbon emissions.
