Negotiations that started in December have led to a tentative agreement on a new deal between Alberta Health and the Alberta Medical Association.
Details have not been released because the agreement still needs to be ratified by both sides.
The association says in a release that it addresses the government’s budgetary concerns and recognizes the contributions of the province’s doctors.
The package will be discussed at an AMA board of directors meeting on May 3rd prior to the package being sent to members for an expected vote.
