Carter Rowney and the Pittsburgh Penguins kicked off their 2nd round series with the Washington Capitals Thursday night.
It wasn’t the start the Penguins wanted as they got down 2-0, but three goals in the span of five minutes in the final stanza vaulted the Penguins to a 3-2 victory.
Pittsburgh now leads the best of seven series 1-0.
This was Rowney’s second straight game in the line-up for the Penguins in the post-season.
