2018 Dream Home winner plans to move in by the end of May

The winner of the 2018 Rotary Dream Home is moving into his new $1.5 million home.

Dave Ogreysik and partner Marteena Duda, who are currently living in Sexsmith, are still in shock after touring the inside of their new house.

“I’m amazed. It’s a beautiful house by Stonebuilt (Homes). They did an amazing job. It’s the nicest Dream Home I think they have ever built. We’re blessed,” said Ogreysik.

The couple was on their way to Vancouver last week when they received multiple text messages.

“My phone started going crazy. So, driving I kind of ignored it for a minute, then I picked it up and glanced at it and read congratulations,” said Ogreysik.

Both agree that the location of the house is right where it should be.

“We’ve talked acreage before, usually with an acreage, there is a lot more yard work involved. You’re 20 minutes to half an hour away from the city. So, if you don’t have a jug of milk, you go without a jug of milk. This is perfect,” added Ogreysik.

The pair were planning to move back to Grande Prairie at some point his year and were in the process of putting their house up for sale.

They plan to move into the Dream Home by May 21.
