GP-Wapiti Board of Directors for the Alberta Party elected

The Grande Prairie-Wapiti Board of Directors for the Alberta Party has been elected.

It happened this past weekend and Chief Financial Officer Lloyd Fisher says there appears to be a lot of interest.

“The party that they used to be a part of, they aren’t being represented currently in the current provincial landscape so we are getting members from the former Conservative Party, the former Wildrose Party, some individuals who were UCP coming over, some people from the Liberal Party, NDP, it’s a mix all over.”

He says the boards in both Grande Prairie ridings will be ready for next year’s election.

“We do have two boards in the area and we are hoping to run two candidates, one in each area for the upcoming provincial election.”
