Update: One man arrested after Ivy Lake incident

UPDATE 2:  (2:24 p.m.) A man has been taken into police custody after an incident today in the Ivy Lake Estates area. 

RCMP say they along with the Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to a complaint of a gas leak at a residence in the Ivy Lake Estates area.  Officials turned the gas to the home off to ensure safety to the community.  

RCMP sent out the advisory shortly after 12:30 p.m. asking people who lived in the area to stay in their homes and others to avoid the area. 

The incident is still under investigation.

UPDATE: (1:15 p.m.) RCMP, ATCO, and fire fighters are all on-scene.

(12:27 p.m.) Grande Prairie RCMP are currently on scene at an unfolding event on 104 Avenue in the Ivy Lake Estates area. The public is advised to avoid the area until further notice. Residents are asked to stay in their homes or stay away from the area.
