Multiple emergency crews are on the scene of a fire that has fully engulfed three homes in northeast Calgary.
Police are asking people to avoid the Monterey Park area as smoke from the fire is described as very toxic.
The fire started in a garage and homes in a 50-metre radius have been evacuated as a precaution.
The fire comes as Calgary is poised to break the hottest day record, with forecasts predicting a high temperature of 36 Celsius.
