Edmonton pharmacy worker charged with stealing 401,500 Percocet tablets

Edmonton police have arrested a pharmacy worker accused of stealing 401,500 tablets of the prescription opioid painkiller Percocet.
Investigators allege a 34-year-old women stole the drugs from where she worked between January 2017 and last April.
Police say she used the identities of pharmacy patients to order medications that she subsequently removed from the pharmacy.
The woman is charged with theft over $5,000, fraud, possession for purposes of trafficking, possession of a restricted weapon and other offences.
