Okabe signs National Letter of Intent

It was a big day Wednesday for Grande Prairie Storm forward Zachary Okabe.

Not only did Okabe help lead the Storm to a 2-1 victory in Lloydminster against the Bobcats, but he also signed his National Letter of Intent with St.Cloud State University.

Okabe made the announcement Wednesday via twitter.

Okabe currently had 13 goals and 13 assists so far this season with the Grande Prairie Storm and sits 9th in league scoring.

Okabe and the Storm will be back on the ice Saturday at home against Fort McMurray.
