Midget AAA Storm finish home stand with tie against Red Deer

It was a big weekend for the Grande Peace Ernies Sports Midget AAA Storm as they played a pair of home games against two of the tops teams in the Province.

Saturday, they welcomed the Calgary Buffaloes to the County Sportsplex.

Hudson Foley and Jayden Watson each scored a pair in Saturday’s game as the Storm and Buffalos skated to a 4-4 tie.

Sunday, the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs made their lone visit to Grande Prairie.

In another tight game between two of the best Midget AAA teams in the Province, it would be a similar result as the clubs finished the game tied at 2.

Hudson Foley had another goal and assist for the Midget AAA Storm Sunday as well.

With the two ties over the weekend, the Midget AAA Storm now have an 8-5-3 record on the year and continue to sit in 2nd place in the North division.

They will be back on the ice Saturday when they head to Lethbridge for a meeting with the Hurricanes.
