A truck driver, that travels routes through Alberta and British Columbia, has been arrested for alleged historical sexual offences involving a young girl.

Forty-six-year-old Kevin Alexander Roberts of Prince George was arrested by Vancouver Police on Monday for offences allegedly committed in that city as well as Prince George. A victim, that is now an adult, reported the alleged crimes to the Vancouver detachment.

Crown Counsel has approved charges against the man including sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual assault with a weapon, invitation to sexual touching, assault, and assault causing bodily harm.

Police believe there are additional survivors, who would have been between the ages of four and 18, at the time of the offences.

On top of driving truck, Roberts has worked as a school bus driver in the Prince George area and a mover. He also lives a transient lifestyle.

“These types of crimes are extremely traumatic and survivors live with the life-long impact,” says Sergeant Jason Robillard in a press release.

“We are providing this information and a photo of the suspect, with hopes that we will uncover more information and help prevent this from happening to someone else.”
