Wembley providing money for dinosaur museum
Wembley town council has approved some funding for the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum.
The town will provide $5000 a year over the next three years.
“We see students, residents, and visitors from near and far enjoying it so much. The venue has added greatly to the region. It is a gem in our midst and the Town is delighted to make this ongoing commitment. “We look forward to exploring other opportunities to work with the Dinosaur Museum,” says Wembley Mayor Chris Turnmire says in a release from the Town.
In that same release, museum board chair Linda Side adds, “The Town of Wembley is a key stakeholder and we thank Wembley Council and Administration for their continued assistance. Support from regional municipal governments is essential to the ongoing operation of the Museum and commitments like this are greatly appreciated.”
