Banner year for local Community Foundation

The Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta announced on Wednesday that they had disbursed over $221,000 throughout the region this year. 
 
That is a 32 per cent increase from last year. 

The money was passed out throughout the region through endowment funds to a number of areas, including post-secondary students, seniors, art and culture, youth programs, social service programs, and sport and recreation.
 
The announcement was made during the Foundation’s Invest Northwest event.
