Athletics earn road win over division rivals Thursday night

A pair of divisional match ups in the North Peace Hockey League Thursday night.

The Grande Prairie Athletics earned a 6-3 win on the road in Fort St.John against the Flyers.

The Athletics now lead the season series between the two West division rivals 3-2.

With the win, the Athletics are now 9-3-3 on the season and are three points back of the Dawson Creek Canucks for top spot in the North Peace Hockey League.

Elsewhere, it was the Grimshaw Huskies exploded offensively in Manning as they walked away with a 10-3 win over the Comets.

The win moves the Huskies into a tie with the Comets for 2nd place in the East division.

League action continues Friday night when the Falher Pirates host the Manning Comets.
