Update: Search at rescue after B&E Thursday morning

Update: STARS and search and rescue teams were called to the Crystal Lake area after a break and enter on the city’s north end this morning.

The break and enter happened around 3 a.m. and the suspect was later located at a lake near the location.

Police received information there may have been additional individuals out on the lake and STARS and search and rescue teams were dispatched.

Our newsroom started receiving calls and tips that a helicopter had been circling in the Crystal Lake Estates area since around 6 a.m.

No other individuals were located and RCMP say there is no concern for public safety.
