Borger commits to GPRC for next season

Preparation for the 2019-2020 basketball season is well underway for the GPRC Wolves and women’s team has announced their newest member of the team.

Head Coach Mandy Botham stated to EverythingGP, she is quite excited to have Jeannie Borger join her team.

“She (Borger) is from Grimshaw. A local kid which is always exciting. She is just over six feet tall, so she adds some height, a little bit of rim protection, and I am really excited to have her on our team.”

Botham adds she has been scouting Borger for the past year and a half.

“I noticed her in her Grade 11 year when she was actually at our Senior High basketball tournament we hosted. She then came to ID camp last year and I really liked her and talked to her last year about joining the team. We then made it official last night.”

Borgen will join the current members of the GPRC Wolves this weekend along with other hopes as the team hosts their annual ID camp at the college.
