Crown appeals sentence to police officer accused of corruption
Apr 10, 2019 | 12:32 PM
The Crown is appealing a three-month intermittent sentence handed to a Calgary police officer for corruption-related crime.
Anthony Braile, who is 50, was one of three officers convicted of criminal harassment.
In its appeal, the Crown says the judge made a mistake in assessing Braile’s level of co-operation with authorities and over-compensated that co-operation as a mitigating factor.
