Grande Prairie native Reece Harsch will be donning new colours next season in the WHL.

At the WHL Bantam Draft this morning, Harsch was sent to the Winnipeg ICE, along with the third overall pick in the draft from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for four draft picks. The ICE then flipped the third overall pick, along with a third-round pick to Prince George in exchange for the second overall pick.

The 20-year-old defenceman is entering his final season of junior hockey, having played just over 3 seasons in the WHL with the Seattle Thunderbirds and Blades. He has scored 17 goals and added 40 assists in his WHL career.
