Northern Anarchy begin 2019 season in Calgary

The Northern Anarchy Women’s Football team will begin their 2019 campaign Saturday night in Calgary as they tangle with the Rage.

Head Coach Edghill Gerrick states the club is thrilled to finally get on the field for game action this weekend.

“I would say everyone is very excited. I know myself I am excited to see what the girls can do after the couple of months of practice which we have had. It will be neat to see them put it all together on the field.”

The 2019 season will begin with a stiff test for the Anarchy as they travel down south to face a tough Rage squad who are usually one of the top clubs in the league.

“They are a very established team. They have been in the league for many years and they have very high numbers. They are a very good team, but I do think we can out smart them,” shared Gerrick.

Kick-off between the Anarchy and Rage is Saturday night in Calgary at 6:00 p.m.

The Anarchy will play their first home game on May 25th when they welcome the Rage to CKC Field.
