Fire Advisory issued for the County of Grande Prairie

The County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service has issued a Fire Advisory, effective immediately.

The Advisory is in place for the entire County, which includes Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, Wembley and Hythe.

It has been issued due to high winds and warm, dry conditions throughout the region.

When winds reach 12 km per hour or higher, burning is no longer permitted.

As a result, those who have existing permits are advised not to burn and no new permits will be issued until further notice.
