All burn barrels/incinerators, backyard fire pits and approved campsite fire pits are still allowed at this time, but no new open burning permits will be issued in the City.

The City of Grande Prairie has issued a fire advisory.
This means no new open burning permits will be issued in the City of Grande Prairie until conditions improve in the GP Forest Area.
Any open burning that requires a permit through fire prevention and consumer fireworks displays are temporarily suspended.
