Some evacuation alerts ended in Slave Lake Forest Area

The eight-hour evacuation alerts have been lifted for Bigstone Cree Nation, Wabasca, Sandy Lake, and Chipewyan Lake.
An evacuation order that was put in place Tuesday remains in place for Peerless Trout First Nation because of the McMillan Complex fire.
Fire watchers in the Slave Lake Forest Area say they got some rain Wednesday night, but not enough to bring long-term relief for dry conditions.
That rain did slow down the McMillan Complex blaze and helped firefighting efforts.
