Weather Network predicts a warm, but smokey summer for much of Alberta

Summer officially arrives at 9:54 a.m. local time.

The Weather Network is predicting BC, Yukon and the western Northwest Territories are in for very warm summers.

A warm summer is also expected across most of Alberta, where smoke from wildfires will continue to be an issue.

But forecasters predict a period of wet weather through the end of June will temporarily ease those concerns.
