Smith and Team Canada begin Challenger Cup with win Thursday

Beaverlodge’s Dani smith and Team Canada are off on the right foot at the Women’s Volleyball Challenger Cup in Lima, Puru.

Canada swept Chinese Taipei Thursday night in their opener in three straight sets winning 25-16, 25-17, and 25-16.

The win secures a semi-final berth for Canada at the tournament.

They will face Argentina Friday night to determine 1st in Pool B.
