Rage steal home field advantage in semi-final with Stampeders

Jul 18, 2019 | 7:49 AM

The semi-final round of the 2019 Wheatbelt Baseball League playoffs kicked off Wednesday night as the Peace River Stampeders hosted the Rycroft Rage in Game 1 of their best-of-five series.

It was a defensive battle between the two clubs as they combined for just five hits in the opening contest of the series.

Despite just having two hits in the contest it would be the Rage who would score the go ahead run in the top of the 6th inning and hang on for a 2-1 win.

Rycroft now leads the best-of-five series 1-0 with the series shifting back to Rycroft for Game 2 Monday night.
