Edmonton pair nabbed for cocaine possession in Grande Prairie

A number of searches over a one-week span by the Grande Prairie RCMP Municipal Drug Section has led to the seizure of cocaine and cash.

Between July 17 and 24, a hotel room, a home and two vehicles were searched in the Grande Prairie area. 12 ounces of cocaine and $20,000 cash were recovered from those searches.

Two Edmonton residents, 23-year-old Carl Graeme Wiese and 20-year-old Sergio Patricio Quezada are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds over $5000.

Both are scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie court on August 14.
