Two murder cases due back in Grande Prairie court next month

Jul 30, 2019 | 5:30 AM

Two murder cases were in Grande Prairie Provincial Court Monday.

Allan Hamelin and Harlin Martineau made a brief appearance by closed-circuit television from the Peace River Correctional Centre.

They were charged after the disappearance and death of Barry Goodswimmer in June.

The case has been put over until August 26 so both defence lawyers can have time to review disclosure.

In the other matter, his lawyer appeared on behalf of Trevor Eldon Martineau.

He is facing five counts including murder after the death of Pierre Quesnel.

The 48-year-old man died after being attacked near 100 Avenue and 92 Street February 16 this year.

Martineau remains in custody. This case is due back in court August 14.
