Lights begin Tier 1 Provincials in Sherwood Park

The Northern Lights Baseball Academy is hoping to ride the high of their Tier 2 Provincial win from last weekend into this weekend as the club travels to Sherwood Park for Tier 1 Provincials.

However, this weekend will not be easy as the Lights go up against the best Midget AAA ball clubs in the Province.

The Lights will open the eight team tournament Friday at noon when they battle the host Sherwood Park.

They will then continue and conclude the round robin Saturday when they play a double-header.

At noon they will face the defending Provincial Champion Parkland Twins and then wrap up the round robin against South Jasper Place.

The top two teams in each pool will then compete in the playoff round which is slated for Sunday.
