Peace Country still has Alberta’s lowest unemployment rate

The area that takes in the Peace County had Alberta’s lowest unemployment rate in July.

Statistics Canada says it stood at 5.2 per cent last month compared to 5.7 per cent in June.

The June unemployment rate for this area was also the lowest in Alberta.

The Wood Buffalo-Cold Lake area is second at 5.9 per cent.

Alberta’s July unemployment rate came in at 6.8 per cent, up 6.6. per cent in June.
