Alberta’s Service Minister to visit Peace Region later this week

Service Alberta Minister Nate Glubish continues his barnstorming tour of Alberta this week, with several stops planned for Peace Region communities later in the week.

The province wide tour began last Tuesday in Lloydminster and is focusing on three specific areas within his portfolio.

“Rural internet, registries, and the Mobile Home Sites Tenancy Act. What I wanted to do was to head out across Alberta to talk to people who are directly impacted by these three areas, who live through it every day, and who maybe have some ideas for us.”

Glubish adds these meetings are part of the provincial government’s goal of making Alberta the best place to live and raise a family.

“One of the best ways we can do that is to work with Albertans collaboratively, to listen to them and to make sure we have a full understanding of the issues that they face,” he said.

“We can not make all of those decisions in a vacuum in Edmonton. We have to get out there across the province and to all of these great communities so that we can understand the local situation on the ground.”

Glubish will be in Valleyview on Wednesday, and will visit Wembley, Clairmont, Fairview, Peace River and Falher on Thursday, before visiting High Prairie Friday.
