Trudeau’s Liberal campaign makes Edmonton stop Thursday

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau was in Edmonton yesterday for a rally where he said his government has done its best to help Albertans through a bad economic time driven by low world oil prices.
About 500 people cheered at the event in Edmonton Strathcona, a riding that has been held by the NDP’s Linda Duncan, who isn’t seeking re-election.
Trudeau emphasized the government’s $4.5 billion purchase of the Trans Mountain oil pipeline project.
Not everyone was pleased Trudeau was in the Alberta capital.
