Swan City Rotary Club has launched it’s 20th annual Cars for Christmas Lottery.

This year’s event will raffle off 23 prizes, valued at over $451,000. Incoming president for the Swan City Rotary Club, Nadine Lacroix, says the prizes this year are amazing.

“We’ve got three early bird prizes which are all cash, which people want cash this time of year. The vehicles are awesome, did you see the first prize? It’s an Escalade, a loaded up [2019 Cadillac] Escalade, over $120,000 value. Who doesn’t want that, in this city especially. We’ve got some trips this year, some car related trips, Nascar, Cuba. I mean, it’s incredible.”

Lacroix adds that this year they are launching a 12 Days of Christmas Calendar Lottery, where 12 draws will be done in January, with winners earning accumulating prizes. The first winner will earn a prize valued at $1,000, and the prize will grow to $17,845.39 by the 12th day.

The Rotary Club has also brought back the Christmas Cash Bonus Draw, which will see a winner earn an ever-increasing jackpot of up to $350,000. Last year’s winner won $127,640.

The Lottery, which is funded through ticket sales, will see proceeds go back into local non-profit community groups, including Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools Education Foundation, Spinal Cord Injury AB, and the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre.

Tickets are on sale online, and at the Cars for Christmas kiosk in Prairie Mall, located between Garage Clothing and Ricki’s.
