Fire destroys Grande Prairie home

A home in the Cobblestone neighbourhood was destroyed by fire Thursday morning.

Just before 11 a.m, the house on 93 Avenue was fully engulfed in flames.

Fire officials told EverythingGP it is believed the fire started in the basement.

They do not believe anyone was home at the time.

Investigators have to wait for a 24-hour cool-down period to pass before they can look into a cause of the fire.
