The province says money for continued work on twinning the Highway 2 bridge in Peace River is in the new budget.
Alberta Transportation says there is $56-million in Budget 2019 for this project.
Construction started on the new bridge in late 2017 and is expected to finish in the fall of 2020.
Alberta Transportation’s website says the project also includes twinning 1.6 kilometres of Highway 2 in Peace River, interchange improvements at 98 Street and Highway 684, and pedestrian walkways under the bridge.
