The City of Grande Prairie is accepting applications for Major Project Funding and Festival Funding opportunities.
The funding, provided through the Arts Development Fund, is designed to support and encourage local artists and groups involved in the arts.
The Major Project Funding is intended to support one-time-only, unique local programs and projects that exhibit or promote visual, literary and performing arts by local artists and groups. The funding can also be used to provide scholarships to developing artists.
The Festival Funding supports non-profit groups organizing local festivals, and applications will be evaluated based on the entertainment value of the event, the cultural and artist benefit to the community, and its ability to attract visitors to the area.
