Francophone culture and tradition to be shared at 22nd Maple Sugar Festival
Grande Prairie’s Francophone Association is gearing up to host its 22nd annual Maple Sugar Festival at the end of this month.
The Association Canadienne-Franҫaise de l’Alberta Régionale Grande Prairie (ACFA) puts on the event at Muskoseepi Park every winter as a way to bring together the Peace Country’s francophone community and celebrate its roots and traditions.
Coordinator of the event Anna Kouadio says it is meant to not only bring together the francophone population but also for anglophone and all community members alike to learn about the francophone history here in our area.
“It’s a way to bring everyone together, and enjoy a good time.”
