Jail sentences handed out in three court cases
A man charged after a 2018 incident where a shot was fired has been given jail time.
Alberta Justice says Carl Ross Yarborough was handed a three-year jail sentence after pleading guilty to charges of unlawful use of a firearm and mischief causing damage under $5000 March 2 in Grande Prairie court.
Two other charges of careless use of a firearm and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public were withdrawn.
RCMP said at the time that just before 2 a.m. on December 31, 2018, a man had returned to a house he had been removed from earlier in the evening. A shot was fired and the man ran away to a location in the Countryside South area.
