Sunrise House still operating amid COVID-19 pandemic

Mar 31, 2020 | 12:41 PM

The Sunrise House Youth Emergency Shelter wants to let the community know they are still operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Executive Director Tanya Wald says some confusion has been created as searching them on Google says they are temporarily closed.

“We continue to remain open with new protocols and procedures to keep clients and staff safe during this time,” reads the post from the Sunrise House.

The emergency youth shelter is not allowing any unnecessary outside visitors as a preventative measure. They add they are only accepting donations of non perishables and essential items at this time.

Anyone who needs to access their services and supports during this time should call ahead at 780-539-3287. You can also text them at 587-783-2463.
