The COVID-19 pandemic is interrupting the start of the chuckwagon season.

Along with Stompede, the WPCA stop in High River that was to take place June 18-21 has also been cancelled.

The Saskatoon and Medicine Hat races that were also scheduled for June have been postponed.

Ponoka is the first event left on the current schedule. It is supposed to start on June 26.

The first three events for the Western Chuckwagon Association, Grande Prairie, Rycroft and Whitecourt, have all been cancelled.

The Stompede, Rycroft, and Cranberry Lake Rodeo stops for the All-Pro Canadian Chuckwagon and Chariot Association are also cancelled.

The May stop for Hand Hills, along with summer stops at Rockyford and Kikino for the All-Pros, have also been cancelled.
